Trampolines, Training, Transfers, Taiwan's 1st missionary

Trampoline Park

What a week! So much has been going on!  It's been a crazy week and will be super busy, finishing up bye bye shu's (shu = book), which are like goodbye books between missionaries and getting ready for transfers.

I can't believe training is over on Thursday! I will be broken by someone else, which will be crazy. My trainer Sister Bain has been super awesome and I will miss her. We had some great times together. We have a lot of new investigators set up next transfer. Since she has been here since November (5 transfers), she will most likely be moving since its usually 3 when people move.

Last Monday for Pday we went to Taipei to a trampoline place. Super fun! Haven't been to one since I was 14. Nobody got hurt, even though Sister Bain and Elder Casper were doing flips. Today we are in Yingge again (near Ba De), and since its such a touristy place and Sister Bain and Elder Casper might leave this week, we will see if we can do the touristy stuff (its like an artsy pottery town).

Last Thursday night, we got a last minute text from zone leaders inviting everyone to a small fireside in the morning in Taipei where the very first missionary who came to Taiwan will speak. On 5/28, it was the 60th anniversary that missionaries came to Taiwan. The person's name is Elder Kitchens, and he and his wife came for the 60th anniversary. They came 10 years ago for the 50th anniversary. His story is so cool! I will tell more next week, but pretty much it made me grateful for everything I have here.

We also had some awesome lessons with investigators. Hopefully we will get baptisms next transfers, since I haven't had anyone yet get baptized since I arrived in Taiwan last March.

Sorry I got to go. Love you all and will let you know how next week goes! Remember to always rely on the Lord, which is what I have been learning lately.

Love you all!

-Sister Brinkerhoff
